Day 1 in Seoul

March 18, 2016 // After visiting Dongdaemun Design Plaza, my next agenda was to see Gyeongbokgung Palace. This day turned extra special because Kihan drove all the way to Seoul to see me. We weren't supposed to be until the next day but he said he really planned it so he can also see me already! *kiligs*

We met up at the entrance of the palace, left my backpack in his car and checked out the palace.

I didn't get to fully explore the entire palace because we were swamped with the time. I didn't even know there was a pond inside until I got back here! Fail! I think I was just too happy to see him again and forgot about the tourist places I also wanted to see. *face palm*

I really wanted to have some Korean food for lunch but Kihan was already full. The restaurants around the area didn't allow 1 person to eat so I opt for that and had street food instead.

Fun fact: I didn't know you can actually drink the base soup of the fish cake! I thought it was a little weird but then again, "why not?!" :)

Kihan and I separated ways after 6pm. He had to head back to Daegu while I spent the rest of the day shopping.

Before going back to my guesthouse, I already bought some food at a convenient store but when I saw this burrito-ish that was being made on the spot, I knew I had to get one!

To end my first day in Seoul, I took a quick shot of the Seoul Tower before I went back to my guesthouse. I was super happy to see the tower so close from my location. It was so close yet still to far!
